The collection contains "Home folks," a short story by Rogers published in "Hinterland" and his brief article on organic foods in the "Washington Daily News." Roger's friends write regarding their current activities and common interests, particularly American folklore. There are 12 photographs by Rogers, chiefly of Israel's Gap, Albemarle Cunty, Va. in 1925 and children at Harpers Ferry, W. Artist and art educator Norman Kent (1903-1972) graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1925. He began his career as a Buffalo-based illustrator before teaching at Hobart and William Smith colleges in Geneva. He later served as the editor of American Artist magazine for more than 25 years.
